The Melancholy zone (gray light, the smell of formalin)
Effect: people walk in circles, repeating phrases from their most painful memories. The words stick in my throat like shards of glass.
Visual: The skin is covered with crack patterns, from which cold mist oozes. The silhouettes of those they lost flash through it.
The trap: The shadows of people grab the legs and strangle those who try to escape. Their fingers are icy, and their grip is relentless.


Rage Zone (crimson light, pulsating like a wound)
Effect: objects are torn apart by the slightest touch. Glass explodes in the palms of your hands, wood cracks like bones.
Visual: The shadows of people separate and attack, whisper: "It's your fault. It was always your fault." Their mouths are black holes that absorb light.
The trap: The walls bleed, leaving puddles on the floor that suck in the victim like quicksand. The blood is warm, but it smells like ice.


The zone of Despair (black light, the smell of ozone)
Effect: time slows down, the sounds disappear. People see their worst versions—the ones they could have become if they had broken down.
Visual: Mirrored surfaces do not reflect a face, but a skeleton wrapped in skin. There is darkness in the eye sockets, in which alien stars twinkle.
The trap: trying to leave leads to an endless repetition of the same moment. Every step is like falling into a bottomless pit.

The climax of the act

Aya understands that the zones are not her creation, but the memories of the previous owners of the mask. She's just another link in the chain of victims. In each zone, she finds scraps of diaries, photographs, and objects belonging to those who wore the mask before her. Their voices merge into a chorus demanding a new medium.

Distortion of reality.

A sharp expression of feelings under the influence of obsession (for example, an unexpected throwing, breaking of an object or hitting someone).
